Its mind over murder as an eccentric neuroscientist with a unique view of the world teams up with the FBI to crack difficult cases in the drama series "Perception." Eric McCormack (Dr. Daniel Pierce) is a neuroscientist and professor recruited by the FBI to help solve complex cases. His intimate knowledge of human behavior and masterful understanding of the mind gives him an extraordinary ability to read people. But his eccentric view of the world and less-than-stellar social skills often interfere with his work. Rachael Leigh Cook (FBI agent Kate Moretti) is Pierce's former student and the person responsible for recruiting him to work for the government. Arjay Smith(Max Lewicki) is the teaching assistant whose primary job is to keep Pierce in line and on task. Kelly Rowan (Natalie Vincent) is Pierce's long-time best friend, and she also plays Caroline Newsome, Pierce's psychiatrist with whom he'll have a deepening relationship in the new season. LeVar Burton (Paul Haley) is a dean at the university, and Scott Wolf (Donnie) is Kate's soon-to-be ex-husband.
