BILL MARTIN & MIKE SCHIFF, Executive Producers
Bill Martin & Mike Schiff met in graduate film school at Columbia University. As closet TV comedy fans at a film school, they chose to team up and soon moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television. They first landed at Fox's "In Living Color," where they spent two seasons writing for Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx and Chris Rock. Two more sketch shows followed -- ABC's "She TV" and Fox's "House of Buggin'," starring John Leguizamo. When that show went down, the creators of "She TV," Bonnie and Terry Turner, hired Martin and Schiff on their new sitcom, NBC's "3rd Rock from the Sun." They spent four and a half seasons writing, producing and eventually running that Emmy-winning series before leaving to create their own show, "Grounded for Life," which ran for five seasons on Fox and the WB. Martin and Schiff each live in Los Angeles with their respective wives and three children.
