MARK GORDON, executive producer
Mark Gordon serves as executive producer of “Army Wives.” Gordon has produced and financed over 50 motion pictures and television programs with theatrical box office revenues exceeding three billion dollars.

Currently, Gordon serves as executive producer on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and CBS’s “Criminal Minds.”

Gordon is also currently working on the recently released feature film “The Painted Veil,” the upcoming films “10,000 B.C.” and “Talk to Me” and the recently wrapped film “The Hoax.”

As a producer, Gordon’s past film credits include “The Day After Tomorrow,” “Casanova,” “Hostage,” “The Patriot,” “Saving Private Ryan,” “Broken Arrow” and “Speed.” As a executive producer and financier, Gordon’s credits include “The Matador,” “Prime,” “Tomb Radar,” “Wonder Boys,” “Man on the Moon,” “A Simple Plan,” “Primary Colors” and “The Jackal.”

For television, Gordon served as executive producer on “Warm Springs” which received 16 Emmy nominations and won for Outstanding Made for Television Movie. He produced more than a dozen films for television including HBO’s “And Starring Poncho Villa as Himself,” which garnered nine Emmy Award nominations. He directed “Nothing But Sun,” a journey through the Holocaust as seen through the eyes of children, for which he also received an Emmy nomination. He served as producer on “The War Between the Classes,” which won Gordon an Emmy for Best Children’s Program.

Among his numerous industry awards are a Golden Globe for Best Picture and a Best Picture Oscar nomination for “Saving Private Ryan.” The film also received the New York, Chicago and Los Angeles Film Critics Awards for Best Picture. Gordon has been honored with the Daryl F. Zanuck Producer of the Year Award from the Producers Guild of America and he received the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award for Best Children’s Film for “Paulie: A Parrot’s Tale.”

Gordon serves on the boards of the Producers Guild of America, the Virginia Film Festival and Teach for America, Los Angeles.

His first producing effort was the off-Broadway production of “The Buddy System” at Circle in the Square. Gordon is a graduate of New York University Film School.

DEBORAH SPERA, executive producer
Deborah Spera serves as executive producer of “Army Wives.” Spera is the President of Television for The Mark Gordon Company and is the executive producer of CBS’s “Criminal Minds.”

Before joining The Mark Gordon Company, Spera spent eight years at Showtime where she oversaw Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning movies such as “The Baby Dance,” “Wild Iris,” “12 Angry Men,” “Inherit the Wind,” “On the Beach” and “Freak City,” as well as executive produced the movie “Fathers and Sons.” She also helped bring “This American Life” to Showtime as a series where it will premiere this spring. Prior to her tenure at Showtime, she was in features at Regency Films working on “Guilty By Suspicion,” “JFK,” “Free Willy,” “Under Seige” and Sommersby.” She began her career at Eden Roc Films where she worked on “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape” and “From Dusk Till Dawn.”

KATHERINE FUGATE, executive producer/creator
Katherine Fugate serves as executive producer, creator and writer of “Army Wives.” Fugate’s television writing credits include “Xena: Warrior Princess” and the animated series “Max Steel.” Her extensive feature film writing credits include the quirky family comedy “Carolina,” for Miramax and “The Prince & Me” for Paramount Pictures as well as numerous other screenplays in various stages of development and production including “Valentine’s Day,” shooting this spring for New Line Cinema.

Fugate began her career in development with stints at 20th Century Fox and Columbia Pictures. A Southern California native, Fugate is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her daughter.

JEFF MELVOIN , executive producer
Jeff Melvoin has worked in television as a writer-producer on numerous series including “Alias,” “Early Edition,” “Picket Fences,” “Northern Exposure,” “Hill Street Blues” and “Remington Steele.” Prior to his television work, Melvoin was a correspondent for Time Magazine. He is a graduate of Harvard College where he majored in American History and Literature and wrote a thesis on American detective fiction. His career achievements include an Emmy® Award, two Golden Globe® Awards, and a Television Critics Award.

Melvoin resides in Los Angeles with his wife, two sons, and a Wheaten Terrier.
