JODIE PLATT
Vice President, Comedy Development, ABC Studios

Jodie Platt serves as vice president, Comedy Series, ABC Studios, overseeing the development of comedy programming for the television production studio of the Walt Disney Company. She reports to Julia Franz, executive vice president, ABC Studios, which is part of the Disney-ABC Television Group and a division of the Walt Disney Company.

Ms. Platt joined ABC Studios as manager, Comedy Series in August of 2000, and was promoted to director in 2002, executive director in 2003 and vice president in 2004. During her tenure at the studio, she has been responsible for series including the lucrative "According to Jim," which began its anticipated off-net run in Fall 2006. She also was instrumental in the development of "8 Simple Rules" and "The Geena Davis Show."

Prior to joining ABC Studios, Ms. Platt worked as a comedy series coordinator at ABC. She began her entertainment career as an assistant in the Current Programming Department at Fox Broadcasting Company.

For over 20 years, ABC Studios (formerly Touchstone Television) has established itself as a leader in television development and production. The studio's comedy lineup includes the primetime and syndication runs of the Emmy-nominated "Scrubs" on NBC and ABC's "According to Jim." Ms. Platt's comedy development team will launch four new series on ABC for the 2007/08 season, including Christina Applegate's return to television in "Samantha Who?"; the evolution of "Cavemen" to series; "Carpoolers," a distinctive look at the mind of the modern man; and "Miss/Guided," from executive producer Ashton Kutcher.

Born in New York and raised in Los Angeles, Ms. Platt graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Political Science.
